Cameron has really been enjoying his new school and I'm constantly amazed at the things Mrs. Kathy teaches him. I like that they work on a 6 week schedule, just like regular school. They area also learning new Bible versus all the time. And Cam can repeat them back with the chapter and verse accurately. We were so blessed with the opportunity to send Cam to FCS. I really feel good about him being ready for Kindergarten, whether at FCS or CCISD.

Thanksgiving Feast
Cameron's Thanksgiving Feast was held on Friday. The kids performed some super cute songs, one about ordering pizza instead of eating their pet turkey on Thanksgiving day got quite a few laughs. Cam's acting out being a turkey in the below pic.
I love Cam's eyes and try to get a good close one of him once in a while.
After singing their songs, we had a feast and the tables were decorated with fun art the kids had been working on over the weeks leading up to the performance.

Hibachi with Maggie
Friday night Cameron was invited to a birthday party that did not require parents to stay, so we did something we've never done before. Take just Maggie out to dinner. We decided that the Hibachi place would be a lot of fun because the chefs cook right in front of you. Maggie thought it was lots of fun and she wanted to eat with the chop sticks just like mom and dad.

Then she stole Chris' spoon so she could eat his ice cream!
Finally she had to be just like daddy and have a toothpick. She's a daddy's girl for sure.
Rock Band
Saturday night we went over to Nana & Pops' house to hang out and eat some yummy chicken fried steak. We broke out the Rock Band stuff and the kids jammed away.

Uncle Erik showing Maggie how to hit the drums.
Cameron loves singing, and actually does a fairly good job on the Easy level.
The sweatshirt that Maggie is wearing is actually my Houston Oilers shirt from when I was a kid. Just to give you an idea of how much sizing has changed, she's 19 mo. and the shirt is sized as a 4/5. Which means I wore it when I was 4 or 5 years old!

Update on the Farm
Today we took the kids out to mom and dad's farm. Since Chris & I have to work next week and the kids don't have school, we asked mom and dad to watch them for a few days.

Watching dad hammer on the roof over the water shed.
Cameron in his camo to hide from the cows.
It was muddy out at the farm, but Maggie had on her rubber boots while she played in the dirt.
Maggie loved the cows, she kept saying "Cow!" and wanted to run up to them.
We are heading out on Wednesday to Austin, so mom and dad only have to make it another 2 whole days and 1/2 day before we get there to help.

Updating Blog
Okay I promised my grandmother I'd update our blog. I'm not going to add the pics/stories in any particular order so don't get confused.

Pumpkin Patch 2009
We got the opportunity to go to a local pumpkin patch on Friday with our friend Ty. The boys had so much fun climbing and running. Maggie was fascinated with hitting the pumpkins. It was a nice cool day so that made it even more enjoyable and really feel like true fall weather.

I really wish our weather down here stayed like true fall weather. However, there are big pluses to not having to change our entire wardrobe as the year goes by. T-shirts are a standard in our wardrobes and I'm pretty sure Cam would throw a fit if I tried to put him in a sweater.
